Have you ever had a point in your life where you just didn’t know where to go next? Or what move you should make next? How do I better myself? How do I continue to do more everyday? When I think about these things on a day-to-day basis I get tired, overwhelmed, and the sense of I can do it tomorrow. The tasks of everyday life seem to wear on everyone differently, but for me it seems to wear me down. You get into a routine and you just seem to repeat it everyday during your workweek and then BOOM! The weekend is here and your life is back! And then before you know it your fun is over and it’s back to that same routine that you seem to get stuck in where nothing exciting and adventures happens. So how do you get out of that? How can we as individuals find that adventure that we want so badly on an everyday basis?
Well this is my thought and maybe I am wrong here but, force yourself to do things! I know I am not one to make myself, after work, go to the gym or go out with friends, or go to a class to learn something new. But I am telling you, if you force yourself to get out of the boring everyday habits and add a little spicy to your life it really works!
For me I have been trying to encourage myself to go to the gym everyday. Just thinking about the gym makes my mind tired. But I have really been putting in the effort to go and completely changes how I feel. When I get home after the gym I am much more productive. I make a healthy dinner, I clean, I read blogs or the news, and after that I may even go out with some friends or hang out with my mom for a little bit.
Another thing I have been doing is promising myself that I am going to see my girlfriends once during the workweek. I know it does take a lot of energy to want to go and do something with them after having a long day. But I have found that I am much better rested the next day. It allows me to have interaction with someone other then the people in my office. I have people to talk to about my personal life and what’s going on with my annoying co-worker. I have also found it very easy to not feel like I have to have a drink with them when we go out (because I don’t know about you but after a few drinks 5:30am comes real quick and it feels like I have been hit by a tractor trailer truck)
No matter what it is that you do after a long day at work just try and do something exciting to change up your week and make it enjoyable!
Another thing that I have found that really adds some change to your everyday life is DON’T bring the same thing for lunch everyday.
